The Inspiration Behind the Name
"Right Field Strategies"
The name Right Field Strategies draws its inspiration from a position that’s often understated but essential—a place where clutch performances, leadership, and moral courage come together. It’s not about baseball; it’s about the principles that guide us through high-pressure moments.
In baseball, the right fielder is often a power hitter, someone you can count on when the team needs a big play. Growing up, I watched players like:
Hank Aaron: A legend not only for his unmatched power and grace on the field but also for his courage and dignity in breaking barriers. Aaron’s perseverance and moral clarity inspire the way we approach challenges and relationships.
Roberto Clemente: A right fielder known for his precision and heart. Clemente’s commitment to humanitarian work, even giving his life while delivering aid to earthquake victims in Nicaragua, exemplifies the kind of leadership we strive to embody—selfless, purposeful, and driven by service.
Kirk Gibson: Remembered for one of the most clutch moments in baseball history—hitting a game winning home run in the 1988 World Series while injured. Gibson became a symbol of grit, perseverance, and the ability to deliver when it matters most.
These players weren’t just winners—they were symbols of integrity, leadership, and moral courage. They remind me that, in any high-stakes situation, the right decision requires not just skill, but also heart, character, and courage.

Our Founder: Alan Abramowitz
Welcome to Right Field Strategies.
My name is Alan Abramowitz, Founder and Principal Manager.
I bring over 30 years of leadership experience in state government and the nonprofit sector. Most recently, I served as CEO of The Arc of Florida, the grassroots advocacy arm of the nation’s largest community-based organization advocating for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
Before that, I was honored to serve as Executive Director of Florida’s Statewide Guardian ad Litem Program from 2010 to 2021, leading a team of over 12,000 volunteers, attorneys, and social workers to represent and advocate for children in foster care. Prior to this, I spent a decade at the Florida Department of Children and Families, where I served in roles ranging from Chief Legal Counsel to Director of both regional and statewide offices.
I have presented rules before the Florida Supreme Court, chaired the Florida Bar’s Legal Needs of Children Committee, and was appointed by the Governor to multiple leadership roles. I hold a Juris Doctorate from Florida State University College of Law, which honored me with its Exemplary Public Service Career Award in 2021. In 2020, I was recognized as "State Director of the Year" by the National Court Appointed Special Advocate Association.
In addition to my legal and leadership experience, I have served in the U.S. Army and the Peace Corps. Throughout my career, my mission has remained the same: to stand up for the most vulnerable members of our community with integrity, courage, and clarity.
Why I Started Right Field Strategies
In today’s environment, leaders, nonprofits, and even for-profit organizations often hesitate to advocate forcefully for fear of retaliation, especially from powerful state or institutional actors. I created Right Field Strategies to fill a critical need: to offer strategic, lawful, and fearless support without strings attached.
Right Field Strategies does not accept government funding. This independence ensures that when I stand with a client, there are no compromises—only commitment. As an attorney, I also provide the protection of attorney-client privilege, creating a confidential space for open dialogue and thoughtful decision-making.
We live in challenging times, where "might makes right" is too often accepted as truth. But real leadership—the kind that makes a difference—requires doing what’s right, even when it’s hard.
